WORKOUTS THAT ALL ATHLETES SHOULD DO AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH

Today we are introducing a new segment to MVP Mindset and that will be a workout of the week.  In order to have an effective mindset, athletes have to train.  Although, sport specific training is going to be what athletes need to focus on most of the time, they need to add in these workouts that will test them at least once a month.

This first installment is going to be a 300 workout.  What is a 300 workout?

A 300 workout is where there are different movements that add up to 300 toal repetitions or reps.  In this specific workout, there will be 5 different movements and the objective is to get 60 repetitions of each done as quickly as possible.  These movement can be done all at once or they can be added in together throughout the workout.

For example:  You can do movement one for 60 reps and then move on to the next movement or you could do 15 reps of the first movement then move on to 15 reps of the second movement and then move on the the third movement and so on.

If you aren't an athlete this a great workout to try and get done 3 times this week.  Here are the movements and remember to try and complete this as quickly as possible.  Begin with a warmup movement such as jumping jacks or a slow jog for 3 minutes and finish with a cooldown that includes stretching your hamstrings.

Movements:
1.  60 bodyweight squats
2.  60 pull ups (if you can't perform pull ups then try inverted rows)
****Inverted rows are where you have your heels on the ground, chest towards the sky, hands grasp a barbell that is about abdomen height in the rack, keep the body in straight line from ears to shoulder to hips to knee to ankle, and then pull chest towards the bar.  Body will be at an angle)
3.  60 pushups
4.  60 burpees
5.  60 leg raises

MVP Mindset Mental Exercise

2.  Once you are done with this workout you will be in  confident state, recite your goal aloud with tall posture 10 times
